Privacy Policy

Quiella is a free meditation app. The privacy policy is short because the data story is short: we don’t want anything from you, so we don’t collect anything from you.

What we don’t do

• No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for.
• No analytics. We don’t use Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Plausible, or anything else that watches you.
• No advertising. We don’t embed ad networks. We don’t track you for advertisers anywhere else.
• No third-party trackers. No Facebook Pixel, no Hotjar, no session recorders.
• No location collection. We don’t ask for, request, or store your location.
• No fingerprinting. We don’t try to recognise you across sessions.

What we do collect

• Your chosen language — stored in your browser's local storage so the app stays in the language you picked. It never leaves your device.
• Standard server logs — when your browser requests an audio file or a page, our hosts (Vercel for the website, Cloudflare R2 for the audio files) keep short-term logs containing your IP address, the URL requested, the timestamp, and your browser’s user-agent string. These are operational logs used to detect abuse and keep the service up. They are not used for analytics, are not sold or shared, and are typically deleted by the hosting providers within a few weeks.

Donations

If you donate, you do so through a third-party payment provider (currently Buy Me a Coffee). Quiella never sees your card details. Read their privacy policy on their site for what they do.

Children

Quiella is suitable for all ages but is not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone, including children. If you are a parent or guardian and want to ask us anything, contact us at the email below.

Your rights

Because we don’t collect personal data, there is nothing for us to delete, export, or correct. The only thing tied to you is the language preference in your own browser, which you can clear at any time by clearing your site data in browser settings.

If you live in the EU/UK, your rights under GDPR/UK GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection) apply. They mostly produce a null result here, but you can email us if you want to exercise any of them.

Cookies

The public site uses one piece of browser local storage — your chosen language. This is not a cookie sent to a server; it’s a value your browser keeps locally so the page renders in your language next visit. The admin area (which only the operators use) uses one signed cookie to keep them logged in.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change anything here, we’ll update the "Last updated" date above and, if the change is material (e.g. we add analytics), we’ll surface a notice on the site. We don’t intend to add any of the things we currently don’t do.
